How to Contact the NetHack Fourk Maintainer
How to contact jonadab:
- Via IRC:
- NetHack Fourk shares an IRC channel with NetHack4 and FIQHack,
#nethack4 on the Libera
chat network (irc.libera.chat).
I monitor this channel pretty much continuously, so I will very likely see
anything you say in this channel; including the word Fourk makes me even
more likely to notice it quickly. (I don't always read the complete
transcripts of every channel I'm in, but I generally do read this
one.)
- My main connection to IRC normally uses the nick
jonadab, so
if you are looking for an immediate response, you can nickping me (that is,
mention my nick in connection with whatever you are saying; my client will
take special note of this and hilight it for me). This should work in any
channel that I'm in. You can also send me a private message,
/msg jonadab Your Message Here.
- My client normally stays connected even when I am not personally sitting
in front of a computer. The IRC command
/whois jonadab jonadab
(repeating the nick gives more information) will include an idle
statistic that will tell you how long it has been since the last time
I said anything. If I am afk
for an extended period of time, there will usually also be an away
line in my whois information, which will typically say screen detached
,
meaning that although my IRC client is connected to IRC, I don't have a
visible window on my computer looking at it. This is normal and happens
for instance when I sleep. You can still nickping me, and my client will
show me the messages when I come back.
IRC is usually the fastest way to reach me, especially if you are looking for a quick response.
- By email.
If you contact me by email, please use a clear subject line that includes the word
fourk
(if the message pertains to NetHack Fourk in any way),
so that my filters can flag and sort it appropriately. (This will cause me to actually see it,
in most cases; whereas, if it lands in my unfiltered inbox, it'll be buried under piles and
piles of rubbish and might not get noticed for many years.)
- By telephone. I can be a little hard to reach this way, but sure.
419-468-1708, ask for Nathan.
(This is an American phone number,
so there is no country code as such.)
- Old-fashioned mailing address:
